She has been providing occupational therapy services for over 10 years, having graduated from Western Michigan University in 2013 with her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. She is board certified by NBCOT, is a member of AOTA, and is licensed by the state of Michigan.

Rebecca has been voted “Top Occupational Therapist in SW Michigan” every year since 2022 by KZOO Kids, and was voted “Best Occupational Therapist” by AMBUCS in 2017.

Rebecca works with children across the age span, from newborns up through 18. She owns Santosha Wellness, where she provides OT services, family coaching, infant massage, play groups, and community collaborations. She also works with the non-profit Kalamazoo County Ready 4s to provide OT support in local 3- and 4- year old preschool classrooms. In addition to OT services, Rebecca frequently presents professional development trainings at local, state, and national levels.

Rebecca holds many certifications and specialized trainings that allow her to provide highly individualized care and support to children and their families.

  • TBRI® Practitioner (Trust Based Relational Intervention)
  • Infant Massage Educator (CEIM)
  • Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) trained feeding therapist
  • Babies @ Play Educator
  • Learn with Less® Educator
  • Myofasical Release I (John Barnes Technique) Certified

Rebecca is passionate about helping families reclaim their caregiving journey through connection, community, education, and simplicity.  She works very closely with many providers in the community, understanding that we work best as a connected whole rather than siloed parts. She strives to empower children to be their most authentic, true selves.

At home, Rebecca is a partner to her husband Luis and mom to her incredible three young children as well as an aunt to her amazing nieces and nephews. She loves to be outdoors, garden, cook, and be in community with others.

Kate Heneveld, Occupational Therapist

Kate is a pediatric Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping young children grow, develop, and thrive. She brings experience from both Early On services and private practice.

Kate earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Davenport University and is board certified through NBCOT and licensed in the state of Michigan. She believes that every child is a whole person, and that the best therapy often happens when children are having fun, feeling safe, and simply getting to be kids. Her approach blends play, motor development, reflex integration, sensory integration, and functional skills to help children build confidence and reach their fullest potential.

Kate is especially passionate about early childhood development and the incredible foundation those early years provide. She loves partnering with families to better understand their child’s unique strengths and needs and to make therapy meaningful, engaging, and practical for everyday life.

Her additional training includes:

  • Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner
  • Mealtime Miseries: Management of Complex Feeding Isuses
  • Handwriting Without Tears

Outside of work, Kate is married to Ross, and together they have four wild, wonderful children and a dog named Moose. She is a strong advocate for foster care and adoption, with two of her children joining their family through adoption. Kate enjoys being outside, spending time at the lake, gardening, playing games and sports, and attempting to become a watercolor artist.
