Adaptive Fitness Program - ON HOLD UNTIL FALL 2019

Social Fitness I

Social Fitness I is a fun fitness class for kids with special needs, ages 4-7. The goal of this program is to improve the social-emotional learning of kids in a "typical" gym setting. Children must be ambulatory, able to follow 1-2 step directions, and be able to complete basic gross motor skills in order to participate.

Social Fitness II

Social Fitness II is a fitness class for kids with special needs, ages 8-14. This class builds upon skills from Social Fitness I, working to further improve the social skills of kids and adolescents while also improving general strength and coordination. Children must be ambulatory, able to follow 1-2 step directions, and able to complete basic gross motor skills in order to participate.

Social Fitness III

Social Fitness III is a fitness class for teens and young adults, ages 15-25. This class focuses on improving both physical and social skills in a supportive community. The class teaches skills such as basic weight lifting, speed and agility, and improves strength and endurance. Workouts vary, but partner and group work facilitated in order to support social skill development.

Please know that this program is currently on hold while we do a bit of restructuring. We are looking to restart (with a newly revamped program!) in Fall 2019. We thank you immensely for your patience and understanding.
